Executive Officers
President: Morganne Klein
The president shall preside at all meetings of the chapter and executive board and be a member of the Chapter Relations and Standards Board. She may call special meetings and make special appointments. She shall be an ex-officio member of all committees. She shall be responsible for ensuring that the National Collegiate Chapter Accreditation is completed annually. The president shall also form and maintain relationships with National Headquarters, the chapter advisor, and MIT staff. She will also be responsible for the schedule and accommodations of any chapter visitors. In the absence of the president, the VP CRS shall perform the duties of the president.
VP Chapter Relations and Standards: Vicky Enjamio
VP CRS shall be chair of the Chapter Relations and Standards Board [CRSB], and will be responsible for proper implementation of these bylaws and the Policies and Procedures Manual. VP CRS is also responsible for running the housing and rooming lotteries, and advising the chapter elections process, including setting a tentative elections timeline for each elections period. In the absence of the president, the VP CRS shall perform the duties of the president.
VP Public Relations and Marketing: Chelsea Finn
VP Public Relations and Marketing shall conduct such correspondence which the President and the Executive Board of the Chapter may direct, including taking minutes at both Chapter and Executive Board Meetings, and be responsible for ensuring that forms be sent to National Headquarters on time, as well as any submissions to the Lyre, the national newsletter. She is also responsible for communications with other chapters of Alpha Chi Omega, with other MIT organizations and with the faculty and staff of MIT. She is in charge of the chapter website, including any elections-related tasks that require the website.
VP New Member Education: Ann Alampi
VP New Member Education shall chair the Education Committee, be the new members’ representative on CRSB, and be responsible for the implementation of the chapter’s new member program, including planning the new member retreat and facilitating new member meetings and new member MyJourney sessions.
VP Finance: Panhellenic Recruitment Counselor
VP Finance shall receive and disperse all chapter moneys under the supervision of the Financial Advisor and work with VP Philanthropy on maintaining the AXO Philanthropy account administered through SAO and ensures that funds raised are donated through the appropriate LPI. Vice President Finance shall chair the Finance Committee.
VP Ritual and Fraternity Appreciation: Caitlin Mackey
VP Ritual and Fraternity Appreciation shall be in charge of the Fraternity Appreciation Committee, and responsible for planning Initiation. She shall also oversee all alumnae activities. She shall also be responsible for handling composites. The VP RFA shall ensure the celebration of Alpha Chi Omega holidays and coordinate continuous celebration of the Ritual of AXO. She shall plan a yearly ritual education program, and coordinate the performance of AXO ceremonies in accordance with the Ritual Best Practices. She also oversees the planning of a yearly sisterhood retreat in the spring.
VP Intellectual Development: KK Wopat
The Vice President Intellectual Development shall be in charge of the intellectual advancement and scholarship of the chapter. She shall develop an Intellectual Development Program for the chapter by coordinating events such as finding speakers to talk about careers, putting together resume workshops, compiling internships of current sisters, and maintaining record of career paths of graduating sisters. It will also be the responsibility of the VP ID to collect the grade point averages of all members each semester (number of units passed for first semester students) and report this information to Headquarters. She shall reward members for exceptional performance and handle academic contracts for sisters who do not meet National Membership Standards for Academic Interests (Article VII, Section 1). The VP ID shall attend weekly meetings with the chapter Executive Board and organize monthly meetings with her committees. She shall also act as the liaison to the Chapter Faculty Advisor and Counselor.
VP Membership Programming: Ilana Habib
VP Membership Programming is the chair of the Membership Development committees, which include Carnation Ball, Fondue, Sophomore Semiformal, and Informal Chapter Chairs, as well as Social Chair(s). VP Membership Programming is responsible for reviewing all chapter events planned by the Membership Development committees to ensure that they follow all MIT-FSILG and FIPG policy, as well as coordinating events around the Theta Omicron calendar.
VP Recruitment: Jess Haskins
VP Recruitment shall organize recruitment workshops, oversee all Recruitment Round Committees, attend Panhellenic recruitment meetings, plan informal recruitment (if necessary), and ensure a smooth and successful recruitment in the fall. She is also a member of Collegiate Recruitment Information Board.
VP Risk Management: Kai Liao
VP Risk Management works with the executive board to ensure that the chapter adheres to FIPG, Alpha Chi Omega, and MIT campus risk management policies. She chairs the Risk Management Committee. She will run a risk management seminar annually to educate the chapter about risk management. She informs the chapter about current health, safety, and women's issues and other available resources within the MIT Community. She is expected to hold weekly office hours and to contact sisters as necessary to address any risk concerns. VP Risk Management shall also be in charge of reserving rooms for chapter activities.
Panhel Delegate: Hannah Barrett
The Panhellenic Delegate shall represent the Theta Omicron Chapter to the campus Panhellenic Association. She shall attend and report back to the chapter with regard to the outcome of Panhellenic Council meetings. She shall cast the official vote on behalf of the chapter at Panhellenic meetings concerning issues that may arise. She serves as the official liaison between the Alpha Chi Omega appointed NPC Delegate and the Theta Omicron Chapter.
VP Facility Operations: Panhellenic Recruitment Counselor
It shall be the responsibility of the VP Facility Operations to keep the chapter house running smoothly and efficiently. This includes scheduling all inspections and maintenance, assigning house jobs, and making sure that all events held at the house follow all capacity guidelines. She shall oversee the Assistant House Manager and the Steward. Makes sure that house jobs are assigned and completed, and enforces fees if jobs are not completed on time. The VP Facility Operations shall work with the House Director and House Corporation Board in order to maintain the house’s condition. She will also serve as the liaison to the FSILG Cooperative. The VP Facility Operations shall, in cooperation with VP CRS, determine if sisters moving out of the house have left their rooms in proper condition in order to receive their full or partial housing deposit. Ensures, with the assistance of VP Finance, that food expenditures are within budget and cost-effective, and should notify VP Finance of any finance-related issues.
VP Philanthropy: Jennifer Li
VP Philanthropy shall be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of Theta Omicron’s philanthropic endeavors, including DVA Week and LipSync. She shall also promote service for other charitable organizations. VP Philanthropy shall also be responsible for Theta Omicron’s Chapter fundraising account and ensuring that proceeds from fundraising events are delivered to the benefiting charity.
